Campaign Finance Coordinator
Location: Hybrid, Sioux Falls and Dell Rapids, SD
Reports To: Finance Consultant
Job Type: Full-Time, Temporary (Election Cycle)
Compensation: $3500/month
Summary of Position
The Campaign Finance Coordinator is the key fundraising partner to the candidate. This role combines data management, donor tracking, and fundraising event coordination for a competitive U.S. Congressional campaign. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and excited to help win a congressional seat in South Dakota.
Duties and Responsibilities
Fundraising & Donor Management

Maintain an accurate and up-to-date donor database (we will train you)

Assist our treasurer

Processing and tracking all contributions

FEC filings
-
Legal compliance and proper documentation

Maintain secure records of all financial documents

Prepare and send donor acknowledgments and receipts

Assist in developing fundraising strategies, call time scripts, and prospect lists

Coordinate donor research and call sheets for the candidate
Event Coordination

Support planning and execution of fundraising events (virtual and in-person)

Manage RSVP lists, guest check-in, and donation collection at events

Coordinate with hosts, venues, and vendors as needed
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in political science, public administration, finance, or a related field

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

Strong communication skills and ability to maintain donor confidentiality

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as campaign needs evolve
